Newspapers – 1930s

This week! There are so many blog posts that are in my mind, but not ready to publish.  However, lots of good lessons are occurring in the library this week.

Here is a lesson for our HELA 9 classes as they read, To Kill A Mockingbird.

Students create a newspaper of the trial.  Since it is based on the 1930s, the students are first looking at various newspapers available on Fold3.  We are lucky to receive Fold3 from state funding.

Sidenote:  I am asking how many students have read a newspaper – in print.
